Happy Monday....How many days til Christmas!!??

Oh I'm still recovering from my show Saturday. I don't envy you gals that do that all the time. But I think if I did it more I would get myself some dollies and rollings totes!!! I made lots of trips with boxes... I just wanted to thank you all for your good wishes and great comments about my things, My confidence level has not been the best..my sales on eBay have been non-existent since Ash was in the hospital and then when I did have a sale, I felt like all my work was for nothing, I was about giving my stuff away, so I tried to raise my prices and then they wouldn't sell, so then I'd lower them and then have the stealth bidders that swoop in at the last second and only bid the opening list price. So my plan didn't work ,to get them to bid on it if was low...lol. I do this because I love what I do but I also try to help out with some of our bills, and I haven't been able to do that for some time. So having a good show and having so many positive comments from you has given me some new confidence in myself and my ability and to make sure we all have a Merry Christmas without putting to much strain on the budget!! With the economy in the shape it is in I was happy to do so well and am thankful for all of it and you for your support!!! I love all my new blog friends!!!

I know how discouraging it can get, but I hope you never get to the place where you stop creating. You have such a wonderful original look with how you put your things together, it would be a shame not to be able to share that.
I pray that you sell out your next show!

Hi Joleen,
I just found your blog through Rondell's Blog ~Tomatoe Creek Prims~.
I know exactly what you mean about your confidence level being low...that is also where I had been for the last month or so. I've been doing craft shows for 24 years now and almost retire from them this year, but changed my mine. Then some of my shows and eBay sales had not been good at all...and I started wondering if I had made the right decision to continue. But my craft show this past weekend was very good and I got wonderful comments from others about my work. It made me realize that I love what I do...being able to share my creations and goodies with others.
I'm so happy for you that your show also gave you new confidence in yourself and your ability. You do awesome work!!...and I can't wait to see what you create next.
Best wishes on your next show!
Cindy

Joleen Wow, I just saw all you were working on for your Show. You've been real busy :) I feel ya on the whole Ebay deal. Seems we can't win either way.

Glad you did well and good luck in any future shows you may do...

I'm so glad that the show went well for you. I think a lot of us know how hard it can be to make any money on ebay. Once the fees are paid, you rarely make much, if any. I think one of the problems is that there is so much competition on ebay and it lowers the price on everything.
So please don't think that is a reflection on your talent. Your stuff is awesome from what I've seen so far! Hang in there and keep up the good work!
